Computer and Information Systems Manager

The Computer and Information Systems Manager (CISM) will manage the implementation of environmental health and safety software for SIVCO’s university clients.
Generally, the CISM will manage all technical aspects of the software implementation and integration process: communicate and direct developers; meet with university faculty and regular users in order to assess clients’ satisfaction; resolve problems with end-users; develop (upgrade and maintenance and user documentation) standards; and, determine priorities and deadlines (system enhancements and customization requested by client).
Specifically, the CISM will: manage the data collection and oversee the integration of data with existing university systems (i.e., user authentication, financial management, facility management); Facilitate and review impact of system modifications on the original software, system charts, workflow and budget; Advise client’s IT representatives on data collection procedures, with emphasis on the identification and handling of unreliable data, data cleansing, data warehouses, and security issues; Manage data security and disaster recovery process following the implementation of SICVO’s systems; Oversee online procurement and e-commerce communications with chemical vendors. Oversees the entire implementation process included but not limited to: communicating with departmental heads and regular users, evaluate progress and control operational budget and expenditures, resolves problem with end-users, system administrators and environmental safety managers. The ideal candidate must have experience working in university environment and have knowledge and experience with dealing with unreliable data collections.
